こないだ原宿のラフォーレで開催された
アートショー的なものに招待されたから行ってみた
内容事態ゎ行くまでよく分からんかったけど
とりあえず、原宿のラフォーレミュージアムぉ
借り切ってのイベント
It was an artzy event my friend invited me to check out last weekend. I didn't quite know what it was about, but the entire floor of the Laforet Museum in Harajyuku was rented out for it. So I presumed that some serious level of partiness was going on.

会場に着くと人々が続々と入ってくる
The fairly large space of the museum was soon to be filled up with the influx of people.
ちょっと、うるさ気味の進行役の
この方がマイクぉ握って
A bit noisy right-in-your-face facilitator took the mic to start the show...
対照的に
常に黙々と自分の世界に
入ってるかのよぉなDJの
この方がターンテーブルぉ回す
Quite contrary, the DJ on the side of the stage started spinning with no eye-contact (even thru his dark glasses) and no facial expression.
内容的にゎ
2人組、3チームが
2Dグラフィック15分プラス
3Dグラフィック15分処理を加えて
白紙から描き上げる
5人のそっち系業界の審査員が
最終作品ぉ評価するという
コンペティションもの
What it was was that 3 teams of 2 members would compete against one another, drawing 2-dimentional plus 3-dimentional graphic art. Fifteen minutes for the 2-d part and another 15 for 3-d. Then at the end, 5 judges in the industry would decide the winner.

白紙からの作成過程が
前のスクリーンで見れる
っつぅ所がオモロかった
It was pretty cool to see the whole process of drawing 2-d and 3-d art from a blank sheet, showing their bags of tricks.
このメインイベント以外にも
会場の一角で面白写真コンテスト
やってて
この写真が優勝
Aside from this 30-minute competition which was the main event, the audience were welcomed to participate in a creative photo contest at the place. And this photo won the 1st place.
HP企画だったから
優勝者にHPの方(赤い服)が
HPのノートPCあげとった
でも、大衆の前で
優勝者2人ゎキョドりまくり
Since it was sponsored by HP (quite cleverly), these 2 guys who took the picture received the award of a HP notebook PC. But in front of a large crowd, they seemed really nervous and awkward.
さらに
15秒の映像コンテストもあって
(これゎこの時までに
8時間の時間制限で
4人のコンテスター達が
制作したものぉ公開)
これまた
キョドるクリエイター達
Furthermore 4 artists showed off their 15-sec video clips. But likewise, they didn't seem to know what they should do on the stage.
そして
ついにメインイベントの結果発表が!!
And finally, the winner of the main event was announced!

映画の、"Memento"ぉ
イメージしたという
コレが優勝!!
This 2-d/3-d graphic art, inspired by the movie, "Memento" took it away!
優勝者の2人ゎ
ニューヨーク大会
出場権ぉ獲得したらしぃ
The two guys of the team now will fly to New York and compete there.

Well it was cool to see how a friend of mine put this whole thing together...
最近知り合ったJが
コンテスターで出るなどで
(彼らゎ"アバター"ぉイメージして
優勝できなかったけど)
...and to see how J put up a good bout (although their "Avator" inspired art didn't quite make it this time).

Actually this reminded me of an event that I joined last year, called "PechaKucha Night". There wasn't any free beer involved though... I wonder what happened to it this year. Does anybody know?
